RIPng: RIP for IPv6
- Similar to RIPv2 but:
- Still based on a distance vector algorithm
- Still has a metric limit of 15
OSPFv6
- Similar to OSPFv2 for IPv4:
- Still uses a Link-State algorithm
- Protocol processing on a per-link basis compared to OSPFv2’s per-subnet basis
- Moved OSPF packet authentication to IPv6’s Authentication payload option
