Date: June 17, 1997 Chambers Cable To Begin Rebuilds in Edmonds and Novato Cable Systems -The rebuild systems will offer Chambers Cable customers new services, better reception, and improved system reliability. Chambers Communications Corp is pleased to announce that it will soon begin construction to rebuild two of their Chambers Cable systems. Chambers Cable customers in the Edmonds, Washington system, which serves customers in Edmonds, Woodway, and portions of Shoreline and Snohomish County; and the Novato, California system, which also serves portions of Marin County, will enjoy many benefits from the rebuild of their cable systems. Chambers Cable plans to more than double the channel capacity of the cable systems and add additional services such as digital music, several channels of full-time pay-per-view, and other technologies. The rebuilds will also provide for improved cable television reception and increased system reliability. Scott Chambers, President and COO of Chambers Communications Corp, said the rebuilt systems will offer customers several enhancements to their cable service. "The rebuilt systems will allow us to offer a new programming services, and customers will be able to choose the package of services that best fits their viewing preferences and budget. In addition, these cable systems will have the capacity to deliver high-speed data and other new technologies. Chambers is committed to providing our customers state-of-the-art cable systems, with superior technical and customer service." Physical construction will begin in the next few weeks. New services for customers will be rolled out neighborhood by neighborhood as the rebuilds progress, with the first areas scheduled to be activated with the new services by the fall. Chambers Cable will provide Rebuild Update Hotlines which customers can call to find out how their system rebuild is progressing.
